Deux ans apr\u00e8s la mort de mon fils de cinq ans, on frappa \u00e0 la porte. Le bruit \u00e9tait discret, presque h\u00e9sitant, comme si la main de l\u2019inconnu avait peur de d\u00e9ranger une douleur devenue permanente. J\u2019\u00e9tais assise dans le salon, entour\u00e9e d\u2019un silence que je connaissais trop bien. Depuis sa disparition, le temps s\u2019\u00e9tait \u00e9tir\u00e9, vid\u00e9 de sa logique, transformant les journ\u00e9es en une suite d\u2019heures sans contours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La maison n\u2019\u00e9tait plus la m\u00eame. Les murs semblaient plus p\u00e2les, les pi\u00e8ces plus grandes, comme si l\u2019absence avait pris de la place. Les jouets avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 rang\u00e9s dans des cartons, non par courage, mais par \u00e9puisement. Sa chambre \u00e9tait rest\u00e9e intacte. J\u2019y entrais rarement, redoutant ce m\u00e9lange de souvenirs et de manque qui me coupait le souffle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le coup \u00e0 la porte se fit entendre une seconde fois. Lentement, je me levai. Je n\u2019attendais personne. Avec le temps, les visites s\u2019\u00e9taient espac\u00e9es, les messages \u00e9taient devenus plus rares. Les gens poursuivaient leur vie, et moi, j\u2019essayais simplement de survivre \u00e0 la mienne. J\u2019ouvris la porte avec pr\u00e9caution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sur le palier se tenait une femme d\u2019une trentaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es, tenant un petit sac contre elle. Son regard \u00e9tait s\u00e9rieux, presque inquiet. Elle pronon\u00e7a le pr\u00e9nom de mon fils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce simple mot fit vaciller tout mon \u00e9quilibre. Entendre son pr\u00e9nom, apr\u00e8s si longtemps, provoqua une vague brutale d\u2019\u00e9motions. La femme expliqua qu\u2019elle travaillait dans un centre m\u00e9dical. Lors d\u2019un r\u00e9cent tri d\u2019archives, elle avait retrouv\u00e9 des effets personnels qui n\u2019avaient jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 remis \u00e0 la famille. Elle avait longuement h\u00e9sit\u00e9 avant de venir, ne sachant pas si sa visite serait bienvenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je pris le petit paquet qu\u2019elle me tendait. Il \u00e9tait l\u00e9ger, mais son poids me sembla immense. Apr\u00e8s son d\u00e9part, je refermai la porte et restai immobile un long moment, comme si j\u2019avais besoin de reprendre contact avec la r\u00e9alit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur, il y avait une petite figurine en plastique, l\u00e9g\u00e8rement ab\u00eem\u00e9e, et un dessin pli\u00e9 avec soin. Sur la feuille, des formes maladroites repr\u00e9sentaient un enfant, une femme et un soleil trop grand. Au dos, en lettres tremblantes, on pouvait lire : \u00ab Pour maman \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les larmes arriv\u00e8rent sans retenue. Pas celles, silencieuses, que j\u2019avais apprises \u00e0 ma\u00eetriser, mais un chagrin brut, m\u00eal\u00e9 d\u2019amour et de tendresse. Ce n\u2019\u00e9tait pas seulement la douleur de la perte, c\u2019\u00e9tait aussi la douceur d\u2019un lien qui, malgr\u00e9 tout, existait encore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce coup \u00e0 la porte n\u2019a pas effac\u00e9 la trag\u00e9die, ni combl\u00e9 le vide. Mais il a entrouvert quelque chose en moi. Il m\u2019a rappel\u00e9 que la m\u00e9moire peut faire mal, mais qu\u2019elle peut aussi r\u00e9chauffer. Et dans cette maison o\u00f9 l\u2019absence r\u00e9gnait depuis trop longtemps, une \u00e9motion nouvelle est apparue, fragile mais r\u00e9elle : la possibilit\u00e9 de continuer \u00e0 vivre, autrement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Deux ans apr\u00e8s la mort de mon fils de cinq ans, on frappa \u00e0 la porte.
